About The Position

The Staff Software Engineer will lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable platform capabilities, including infrastructure, tooling, and AI/ML frameworks. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong proficiency in Java with excellent programming fundamentals (OOP, data structures, algorithms, concurrency)
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC and REST APIs
  • Working knowledge of React, HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and internals (build pipelines, artifact management, automated testing, deployments)
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Option 2: 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, or GCP)
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with observability tools (logging, monitoring, tracing)
  • Exposure to performance tuning and scalability optimization
  • Prior experience working in large-scale enterprise systems
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap milestones and domain priorities.
  • Lead full software development lifecycle activities such as coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Conduct system design reviews to ensure quality, feasibility, and alignment with architectural best practices.
  • Build AI-driven applications and integrate ML components using multiple programming languages and platforms.
  • Mentor engineers and influence architectural decisions promoting standardization and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex problems into actionable technical requirements.
  • Apply data-driven practices to define success metrics and optimize development processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement through innovation, knowledge sharing, and proactive issue resolution.
