Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Eight or more years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in at least one of distributed systems, cloud platforms, or large-scale data systems.
• Strong programming skills in at least one major backend language.
• Excellent system-design and architecture skills.
• Strong understanding of operational excellence, reliability, and observability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Public technical contributions (talks, papers, OSS) in relevant areas.
• Familiarity with FinOps and cost-aware engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Leading complex, cross-team engineering initiatives.
• Mentorship and technical leadership of senior engineers.
• Influencing engineering culture and standards.
• Driving multi-year platform modernization initiatives.
• Operating large-scale production systems.
• Building engineering organizations as well as platforms.
• Implementing FinOps and cost-aware engineering practices.
