About The Position

As a Staff Engineer on the Walmart Space Planning and Execution team, you will build the intelligent platforms that autonomously design and optimize physical space across our massive retail network. You will build the ML frameworks, model runtimes, and agentic workflows that govern macro space (floor plans), micro space (planograms/modulars), and featured spaces across our stores (Sales Floor, Backroom) and depots. Operating at the intersection of platform engineering and applied AI, your work will directly enable customer-centric initiatives focused on execution speed, hyper-localized assortments, and unprecedented revenue growth. We offer the agility of a startup paired with the unmatched scale of the enterprise, giving you the ultimate sandbox to revolutionize spatial intelligence and physical retail. About Team: On the Item and Inventory team, we ensure our customers get their orders when and where they want them, in a frictionless, predictable manner. What's more, we create reusable SaaS products and services that manage our catalog and power end-to-end inventory management, including replenishment, fulfillment, and transportation. With end-to-end inventory management, from replenishment and fulfillment to transportation, we give our drivers and partners the tools they need to get the right items to customers on time and in the right packaging.
