About The Position

Google's software engineers develop technologies that help billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information. As a software engineer, you will work on projects critical to Google's needs, with opportunities to take on new problems across the full stack as the business evolves. The Geo Automotive SDK team partners with global automakers to enable custom navigation and infotainment experiences for software-defined vehicles and multi-display digital cockpits. The team delivers modular, customizable Android SDK building blocks across modern cockpit capabilities, scalable SDK foundations, partner technical direction, and AI-native engineering. The Geo team builds mapping products and services—including Maps, Earth, Street View, and Google Maps Platform—and enables developers to use Google Maps technology in their apps and websites. In this role, you will set technical direction for the Auto SDK platform and its public API, lead complex features from API design through core navigation, own a platform workstream, align senior engineers and cross-functional stakeholders, and serve as a senior technical counterpart to automaker engineering teams. Individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The listed US compensation is $207,000–$300,000, plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
