About The Position

Circadia Health is a growth-stage healthcare AI company focused on preventing avoidable hospitalizations and improving senior-care operations through its Circadia Intelligence Platform. This platform integrates contactless sensing for vital sign monitoring, predictive models for adverse event detection, and enterprise integrations to deliver actionable insights to care teams. The company's technology currently serves over 40,000 patients daily across various senior-care networks and is supported by prominent healthcare and AI investors. The role exists to build the critical 'last mile' software that enables care staff to act on patient deterioration predictions, developing the Circadia Intelligence Platform, its surrounding features, and underlying services. This involves adapting the platform for specific customer needs and determining which customizations become core features. The role will handle a significant volume of patient data and clinical records.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience shipping production software in a full-stack capacity.
  • Demonstrated technical ownership of at least one significant production system.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, including experience with FastAPI and Pydantic.
  • 3+ years of experience building production React applications.
  • Experience integrating with third-party systems that are not under direct control.
  • Direct experience working with external customers or stakeholders.
  • Practical experience with AWS, containerized deployment, relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with test-driven development using PyTest.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with healthcare integrations such as HL7, FHIR, ADT feeds, and EHR vendor systems.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance or other regulated software environments.
  • Prior experience in forward-deployed, solutions, or implementation engineering roles.
  • Significant contributions to open source projects, experience with systems that have outlived their original tenure, or a high-bar engineering background.

Responsibilities

  • Build the Circadia Intelligence Platform, including responsive React interfaces for care staff.
  • Develop backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI, ensuring stability under increasing load.
  • Engage in customer development and integrations, creating features for specific operators and integrating with systems like PointClickCare, Homecare Homebase, and WellSky using various protocols (HL7 v2, FHIR, REST, SFTP, CDC).
  • Provide technical leadership, guiding architectural direction, mentoring team members, and resolving design disputes.
