About The Position

The Staff Software Engineer explores software products and solutions to address business and technical needs, assesses gaps between customer and business expectations and existing solutions, classifies requirements, and anticipates and communicates risks during requirements gathering. The role contributes to user stories, software design, implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and testing across software components and applications. The engineer tracks defects, performs regression testing, analyzes past defects to prevent recurrence, troubleshoots performance and availability issues, conducts complex maintenance independently, evaluates application metrics and logs, and assesses the validity and feasibility of change requests. The role supports solution design and trade-off analysis, translates high-level designs into detailed software designs, selects appropriate development frameworks and environments, implements telemetry, and participates in code reviews. The position also creates and configures code to meet business and non-functional requirements, arranges requirements into programming sequences, and drives automation scripts for CI/CD and other processes. It translates customer requirements into test strategies, selects testing tools and methods, ensures test coverage, and helps execute test cases. Required technical expertise includes Java, TypeScript, REST and GraphQL services, front-end frameworks, monitoring and performance tools, cloud services, mobile application development, databases, accessibility standards, authorization, reactive programming, automated testing, version control, and API documentation.
