•$176,250 - $182,500•Hybrid

About The Position

Xometry is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join its Core Platform team in a strategic technical leadership role focused on the architectural evolution of its flagship enterprise partnership. The role will re-architect core application services so they operate natively within a partner’s digital ecosystem, rather than as external add-ons. The engineer will shape the technical direction of multiple products and establish engineering patterns that enable Xometry’s AI to operate on the partner’s native 3D geometry, moving toward real-time design-for-manufacturability feedback and one-click procurement within the partner’s enterprise design environment. The position requires a hybrid schedule, working three days per week at the North Bethesda, Maryland, or Waltham, Massachusetts office. The Staff Software Engineer will lead the integration of production ML pipelines into the application layer, establish architectural and operational standards for scalable enterprise deployments, and address data governance and security challenges, including keeping part files within partner network infrastructure. They will guide cross-functional execution and technical decisions across engineering, marketplace, data science, senior leadership, and external partner teams. The role requires 12 or more years of professional software development experience, expert-level proficiency in Python, AWS infrastructure, and modern frontend frameworks such as React/NextJS, and a record of shaping technical direction across multiple teams. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required. The estimated U.S. base salary is $176,250–$182,500 annually, plus an annual bonus; total compensation includes base salary, bonus, and equity.
