Staff Software Engineer
About The Position
Payactiv is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver high-quality, robust, and scalable software solutions. This role involves driving architectural discussions to ensure solutions align with business goals and technical strategy. The engineer will champion test-driven development (TDD), clean code principles, and maintainable system architectures. They will enforce high code quality standards through peer reviews, unit testing, automation, and continuous integration, and establish and promote engineering best practices within the team. The position also requires staying ahead of industry trends, introducing relevant new technologies or practices, implementing secure coding practices, and integrating data protection and security measures. Additionally, the role involves identifying bottlenecks, debugging issues, implementing innovative solutions to optimize system performance, and designing, optimizing, and managing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field.
- Two (2) years of experience.
- Two (2) years of experience in AWS Services, REST, Docker, Kubernetes.
