About The Position

Synopsys is hiring a Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack to own the full technical lifecycle of a production application used by hardware and prototyping teams. The role covers architecture and development across a React frontend and Node.js backend, as well as build pipelines, release packaging, and deployment workflows. The engineer will develop features from requirements through production release and provide production support for a product that enables critical hardware engineering workflows. The position involves investigating and resolving issues across user interfaces, APIs, backend services, scripts, SQLite databases, Linux and Windows systems, network configurations, and connected hardware. The engineer will work directly with customers and support teams on issues such as remote scanning, hardware communication, and configuration errors, performing root-cause analysis and communicating technical findings clearly. The role also entails coordinating with hardware, systems, and engineering teams; making architectural and tooling decisions; and improving reliability through automated testing, documentation, and repeatable processes. Synopsys describes itself as a provider of engineering solutions spanning silicon to systems, including silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. The company considers applicants without regard to protected characteristics. The role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses, and includes comprehensive health, wellness, and financial benefits. Compensation depends on job-related factors such as location, skills, experience, and education.
