LaurelLos Angeles, CA
$256,000 - $308,000Hybrid

About The Position

Laurel is seeking a Product Manager for Signal, their Organizational Intelligence Platform. This role is critical to scaling Signal, which transforms digital work data into insights that uncover hidden write-offs, measure velocity, detect tool usage patterns, and surface organizational behaviors impacting profitability. The Product Manager will lead the development of Laurel's intelligence layer, partnering with Design, Data Science, Engineering, and Go-to-Market (GTM) teams to scale the product across industries. This is a highly strategic role, as Signal is central to Laurel's long-term mission of exposing time and tying it to outcomes. Success in the first year involves achieving enterprise adoption, launching major insight modules with validated customer outcomes, establishing a repeatable discovery process with firm leaders, and shaping a compelling GTM positioning story for Signal.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in product management, including 3+ years building data or analytics products
  • Skilled at shaping ambiguous, 0→1 product areas and bringing them to market
  • Strong grasp of AI/ML-powered product development, particularly around insight generation
  • Comfortable working directly with enterprise clients, including C-suite and COO/CFO-level stakeholders, and can translate their needs into product decisions
  • Experience with enterprise or sales-led GTM motions, where product and sales move together

Nice To Haves

  • Love the challenge of designing for complex systems and messy datasets
  • Believe in leverage over efficiency — building products that multiply organizational impact rather than incrementally optimize
  • Thrive in fast-paced startup environments where ambiguity, iteration, and speed are the norm

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy: Define and execute the product strategy for Signal across legal, accounting, and consulting verticals.
  • Turn data into insight: Translate raw time data into findings that matter to firm leaders, such as write-off detection, velocity analysis, and outcome measurement.
  • Partner with Data Science on analysis, model development, and AI evaluation frameworks.
  • Partner with Design to build intuitive, decision-grade dashboards.
  • Talk to customers: Drive research with firm leaders, admins, and practitioners to ensure insights remain actionable and tied to real workflows.
  • Partner with GTM to position Signal as the intelligence layer.
  • Prioritize the roadmap: Drive Signal from launch to enterprise standard, balancing near-term customer wins against long-term platform vision.
