About The Position

This recruitment will establish an employment list to fill current and any future vacancies for those County departments that have this position. The anticipated life of the employment list is six months. If interested in employment for this position for current or future vacancies, please submit an online application for consideration. Current vacancy is with the Resource Management Agency located in Visalia.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, or a closely related field.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices in administration including organizational patterns and analysis, fiscal and personnel management.
  • Knowledge of available resources for gathering data.
  • Knowledge of descriptive statistics sufficient to reflect results of research.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with people of various education and socioeconomic backgrounds by respecting beliefs, interpersonal styles and behaviors of both clients and co-workers.
  • Ability to operate contemporary office equipment inclusive of computer, keyboard, and all applicable electronic equipment.
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply complex regulations.
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise reports and correspondence using correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Ability to research, compile and analyze information to formulate appropriate alternatives and recommendations.
  • Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers, various agencies and departments.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of agencies and community groups providing emergency services, federal and state emergency plan requirements for local jurisdictions and county personnel practices.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze information concerning management problems and prepare reports showing time, space, personnel, equipment, materials, and cost of recommended solutions.
  • May suggest modifying scope of study or undertaking new studies.
  • Analyze existing or proposed systems, or procedures, prepare workflow charts, conduct time and motion studies, tabulate and analyze factual data.
  • Contact other agencies to gather information and recommend revisions or improvements.
  • Develop policy and procedural manuals.
