About The Position

The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Healthcare is seeking a Senior Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with complex physical dysfunctions, disorders, and/or injuries. This position will work with a variety of patients with a wide range of dysfunctions in an inpatient critical care setting at the Medical Center University Campus in Iowa City. You will act as a clinical resource. The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Healthcare is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist to administer treatment to patients with complex physical dysfunctions, disorders, and/or injuries and or evaluate and interpret findings. This position will work with a variety of patients with a wide range of dysfunctions in an inpatient critical care setting at the Medical Center University Campus in Iowa City. Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Physical Therapy is required.
  • Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated skills in clinical education abilities.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist.
  • 3+ years of experience in one or more areas of assigned responsibility.
  • Demonstrates leadership abilities.
  • Demonstrates experience as part of a multidisciplinary medical team.
  • Entry level experience in Physical Therapy.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Physical Therapy.
  • 1-3 years of experience in one or more assigned areas of responsibility.
