About The Position

NV5 is currently in search of a Staff Scientist who will play a crucial role in conducting field surveys and providing comprehensive reports for a range of soil and groundwater environmental assessments Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments as well as Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) studies and building sciences. The ideal candidate for this role will have a profound understanding of environmental standards, capable of autonomously conducting comprehensive field surveys across diverse projects. Your responsibilities will involve meticulous data analysis, the crafting of clear and concise reports, and collaboration with colleagues to consistently meet the evolving needs of our clients. Requirements

1-3 years of experience in environmental site Assessments (soil and groundwater)
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Proficient in the MS Office suite with experience in writing technical reports.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences.

Responsibilities

Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
Conduct scientific field investigations encompassing soil and groundwater assessments.
Conduct scientific field investigations encompassing asbestos, mold, indoor air quality, moisture intrusion, and lead-based paint.
Ensure project activities adhere to specific job requirements.
Participate in periodic meetings to discuss project activities and safety concerns.
Prepare well-documented written reports, correspondence, and communications.
Evaluate contractor work activities concerning occupant and worker health, regulatory compliance, and public safety.
Candidate will be subject to a baseline medical exam and a respiratory exam for the fit test.
