About The Position

NV5 is currently in search of a Staff Scientist who will play a crucial role in conducting field surveys and providing comprehensive reports for a range of soil and groundwater environmental assessments Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments as well as Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) studies and building sciences.The ideal candidate for this role will have a profound understanding of environmental standards, capable of autonomously conducting comprehensive field surveys across diverse projects. Requirements

1-3 years of experience in environmental site Assessments (soil and groundwater)
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Proficient in the MS Office suite with experience in writing technical reports.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences.

Responsibilities

Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
Conduct scientific field investigations encompassing soil and groundwater assessments.
Conduct scientific field investigations encompassing asbestos, mold, indoor air quality, moisture intrusion, and lead-based paint.
Ensure project activities adhere to specific job requirements.
Participate in periodic meetings to discuss project activities and safety concerns.
Prepare well-documented written reports, correspondence, and communications.
Evaluate contractor work activities concerning occupant and worker health, regulatory compliance, and public safety.
