About The Position

This position provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the health-illness continuum in diverse health care settings, collaborating with the health care team. The nurse is accountable for nursing practice as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing and is responsible for admitting and discharging patients, as well as serving as bed manager during scheduled hours. The position emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency in accordance with the organization's High Reliability Organization responsibilities.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Registered Nurse (RN) credential from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Field of study: Nursing.
• State driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health-status assessments appropriate to the population or individual.
• Document planned nursing interventions based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs.
• Evaluate and document responses to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriate intervals.
• Revise plans of care based on evaluative data as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in process-improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
• Admit and discharge patients.
• Serve as bed manager during scheduled hours.
• Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency while performing job duties.
