About The Position
Presbyterian Healthcare Services is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg/Surgical Specialty Unit at Rust Medical Center. The RN safely and independently administers prescribed treatments, medications, and nursing interventions based on patient assessment and the plan of care. The nurse organizes and prioritizes time according to patient condition and expected workload, identifies changes in patient status, and responds appropriately. The unit has private rooms equipped with standard lift equipment and bedside computers that give physicians and nurses access to medical records at the bedside. Collaboration, teamwork, and attentiveness to patient needs support the unit’s care. The position is part-time at 0.60 FTE, working 12-hour night shifts.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited academic nursing program; a degree from an accredited academic nursing program is preferred.
- Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or a compact state nursing license.
- BLS certification required at the time of hire.
