About The Position

Saint Joseph’s Medical Center is seeking a full-time Staff Nurse (RN) for its Specialty Clinic. The role requires demonstrated core nursing and primary-care competencies for the patient population served, including experience caring for adults, pediatric, geriatric, and pregnant patients across Neurology, Neurosurgery, Podiatry, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Orthopedic Surgery, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, and Allergy. The nurse provides patient assessment, triage, treatment support, care coordination, education, and direct communication while maintaining patient privacy and a high standard of clinical-suite presentation and safety.

Requirements

New York State RN license.
Graduation from an RN program.
Current BLS certification.
Demonstrated skills in core nursing and primary-care competencies for the patient population served.
Experience with adults, pediatric, geriatric, and pregnant patients in the listed specialties.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess and record patients’ histories, complete physical assessments, triage patients to determine medical needs, and initiate interventions as needed.
Provide patient care based on providers’ orders and patients’ medical conditions.
Perform specialized treatments and procedures.
Monitor patient responses to treatment and manage urgent or emergent complications.
Complete pre-visit planning and ensure test results are returned before visits.
Oversee medication management and specialized pharmacy or supply coordination for patients.
Coordinate personalized care as a dedicated care navigator, including multi-specialty referrals, private diagnostic testing, and scheduling.
Manage high-volume, priority patient communications through phone, secure client portals, and direct messaging with rapid response times.
Deliver customized wellness, anti-aging, or post-operative care plans with detailed, individualized instructions.
Maintain strict patient privacy, uphold luxury hospitality standards, and ensure the clinical suite meets executive presentation and safety requirements.
