About The Position

The Registered Professional Nurse independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, established guidelines, and the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The nurse manages care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with Northside Hospital’s philosophy and policies. Professional nursing practice at Northside Hospital reflects collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia, in good standing and without limitations.
• Hold American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree.
• Six years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Three years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse at Northside.
• An additional life support credential (such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP) or other clinical specialty certification relevant to specific units.
• Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities
