About The Position
The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process. Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role appropriate tasks in the implementation of care. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the established FMC policies, procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited nursing program, resulting in one of the following: Diploma in Nursing, Associate degree in Nursing (adn), Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (bsn)
- Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio.
- CPR required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Problem-solve and facilitate resolution to issues
- Demonstrates ability to handle multiple priorities
- Make independent decisions.
- Critical thinking skills.

- Previous Registered Nursing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care of each patient according to the nursing process.
- Provides quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care/pathway.
- Provides education for the patient and family/significant other from admission through discharge process.
- Provides thorough, concise, accurate and legible documentation of the nursing process/pathway.
- Notifies physician of pertinent observations and changes in the status of the patient.
- Administers medications and performs treatments in an accurate safe manner.
- Implements physician orders as written.
- Assures equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions to proper department.
