About The Position
This is a full-time Registered Nurse position specializing in infusion therapy. The role involves administering medications, fluids, and blood through various venous access methods. Key responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, developing and implementing care plans, monitoring patient outcomes, collaborating with healthcare providers and patients/families, reporting patient status to physicians, and providing age-appropriate patient and family education. The position also involves accommodating individual learning needs and educating/mentoring students, novice nurses, and peers, while promoting educational opportunities for self and others.
Requirements
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN) license from Idaho or compact state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
Responsibilities
- Administer medications, fluids, and blood through injections into patients' veins using multiple access methods.
- Conduct direct and indirect age-appropriate patient assessments.
- Develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor patient outcomes and adjust care plans as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and patients/families in care planning.
- Report patient status to physicians and obtain necessary care orders.
- Provide age-appropriate patient and family education.
- Accommodate individual learning needs of patients.
- Educate and mentor students, novice nurses, and peers.
- Promote educational opportunities for self and others.
