About The Position
The Vu Lab in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology is seeking a motivated Staff Research Assistant to join our team. Our research focuses on the molecular basis of antifungal drug resistance mechanisms in Candida species. We are looking for a research technician who will conduct lab-bench and animal research work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Psychology, Engineering, Computer Science, Sociology, or a related discipline aligned with the specific area of research or project focus).
- 1 year of experience supporting research or working in a laboratory setting.
- At least 12 months accumulative wet-lab research experience in Biology.
- Prior experience with molecular genetics.
- Prior experience with aseptic techniques.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in working with small animals, such as mice.
- Background in bioinformatics.
