About The Position

The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care, assesses patient needs, develops and implements care plans, and supervises other healthcare staff. The RN administers medications, monitors patient health, educates patients and families, and collaborates with other healthcare professionals. The position also documents patient care, adheres to nursing regulations, and ensures patient safety. This role is with Samaritan Medical Center’s Emergency Hospital department. The listed schedule is 11 a.m.–11 p.m., with a 12-hour evening shift and 72 position hours. The posting offers a sign-on bonus of up to $24,000.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
BLS certification is required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
Thorough knowledge of nursing principles.
Ability to provide quality patient care and assess patient needs.
Ability to recognize safety issues and use lifts to move patients safely.
Ability to function well in stressful situations and demonstrate creative problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership skills and ability to prioritize and delegate.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous hospital RN experience is preferred.
