About The Position
Beverly Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. The department is a Level III Trauma Center, Gold Stroke Certified, and an Emergent Percutaneous Cardiac Intervention Center. It provides emergency care for cardiac, pediatric, OBGYN, orthopedic, respiratory, and other needs. The department includes 33 private exam rooms across three zones, including trauma rooms, negative-pressure rooms, pediatric rooms, fast-track, and a secured behavioral health area. Triage is staffed 24/7 by a nurse and by a medical provider during prime hours. Nurses assign an ESI acuity level to ambulatory patients. The team includes ED technicians, administrative associates, mental health technicians, security, BILH Crisis Screeners, and Recovery Coach Supports. Emergency nursing experience is strongly preferred. The posted shift is 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Benefits are offered for hours worked over 20 per week. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Staff must be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment.
Requirements
- Massachusetts RN license.
- Emergency nursing experience is strongly preferred.
- AHA BLS and AHA ACLS; these can be obtained after hire.
- PALS can be obtained after hire.
- TNCC is preferred and can be obtained after hire.
- Telemetry experience is preferred.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Emergency nursing experience strongly preferred.
- TNCC preferred; it can be obtained after hire.
