About The Position

McLean Hospital, America's top ranked freestanding psychiatric hospital, is inviting applications for a full-time (40 hours/week) Staff Psychologist at the Klarman Eating Disorders Center at McLean Hospital, located in Belmont, MA. The position will include a concurrent faculty appointment as an Instructor in Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. The Klarman Eating Disorders Center provides world-class treatment for young adult, including cisgender women, transgender women, and non-binary individuals, ages 18-28. Our residential and partial hospital program specializes in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). Salary and recruitment package in accordance with Hospital policies, and a Harvard Medical School appointment will be contingent on meeting the requirements for an HMS appointment and candidate qualifications including Massachusetts license.

Requirements

Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited university or school of psychology
Current licensure (or license eligible) in Massachusetts
Completion of an APA-accredited internship
Clinical psychology expertise and practice
Expertise in DBT, both theory and practice

Nice To Haves

Postdoctoral experience in a related field
Experience providing DBT treatment to young adults and families
Familiarity with complementary evidence-based treatments such as ACT, SPACE, behavioral parent training models, and/or CBT

Responsibilities

Conducting comprehensive psychodiagnostic evaluations
Co-leading DBT groups
Delivering weekly individual and family-based psychotherapy sessions
Co-leading psychoeducation groups
Coordinating treatment planning for patients in partnership with our interdisciplinary team
Providing clinical services for all assigned patients and participating in the activities of the program
Mentoring, teaching, and training doctoral student trainees
Contributing to the program's intervention research
Participating in professional development activities throughout the hospital and medical school, including committees, teaching, and research
