Staff Psychiatrist (Part Time)
About The Position
AIMergency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Psychiatrist to join our growing behavioral health team serving inpatient hospitals and nursing facilities throughout the West Palm Beach region. This opportunity is ideal for a psychiatrist who values flexibility, autonomy, and collaborative patient care while making a meaningful impact within underserved and complex patient populations. The Staff Psychiatrist will conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, follow-up visits, and treatment coordination across multiple inpatient and nursing facility settings approximately 3–4 days per week.
Requirements
- MD or DO with Psychiatry residency training
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Active Florida Medical License or ability to obtain
- DEA license preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently across multiple facilities
Nice To Haves
- Experience in inpatient psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, or consult-liaison psychiatry preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric rounds in inpatient and skilled nursing facilities
- Perform psychiatric evaluations and medication management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, social work, and primary care providers
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Participate in treatment planning and discharge coordination
- Build strong clinical relationships with facility staff and patients
