Requirements

Completion of a residency or training program in psychiatry which meets the certification requirements of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.
Must be in possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Board of Medical Education and Licensure, or the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners.
Must be able to perform essential job functions.
Conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
Conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed psychiatric examinations and interpret diagnostic findings
Develop individualized treatment plans that guide patient progress
Work with interdisciplinary staff and participate in team meetings to coordinate care
Lead and manage psychiatric and medical emergencies during assigned hours
Prepare psychiatric reports, progress notes, treatment reviews, and discharge summaries
Support discharge planning and communicate with community providers for follow-up care
