About The Position

We are seeking a Staff Product Manager to build and scale key capabilities for the Walmart eCommerce ML Offer Ranking Engine, ensuring customers consistently receive competitive and reliable offers throughout their shopping journey. In this cross-functional role, you will leverage your understanding of machine learning and e-commerce fundamentals to identify opportunities, influence stakeholders, and provide strategic recommendations. You will collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and senior executives across multiple functional areas and International markers to execute the product vision and roadmap in a fast-paced environment. The team owns the Buy Box ranking engine, a key component that determines which seller’s offer is presented to customers across Walmart’s platforms. The seller that wins the Buy Box captures majority of customer consideration for the listed item, making it one of the most critical levers in marketplace commerce. The team also collaborates across functions to develop product strategies, manage roadmaps, and leverage data-driven insights and emerging technologies to drive optimial business and customer outcomes across several strategeic initiaitves.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in product strategy and roadmap development for complex or related product sets.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional stakeholder management and influence without direct authority.
  • Strong expertise in data-driven decision making, including advanced analytics and experimentation methods.
  • Deep understanding of emerging technologies, including AI and machine learning applications in product development.
  • Demonstrated skill in managing full product lifecycle from discovery through value realization.
  • Ability to translate customer insights and market trends into prioritized, measurable product outcomes.
  • Experience mentoring product managers and elevating product management discipline within teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 7 years’ experience in product management.
  • 9 years’ experience in product management or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 6 years’ experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products.
  • Creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Drive product strategy and execution for complex or related products, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain multi-quarter product roadmaps, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver value from discovery through launch and beyond.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement to align priorities, communicate product vision, and influence decision-making without direct authority.
  • Utilize data-driven insights and experimentation to validate assumptions, optimize features, and guide product direction.
  • Identify opportunities for emerging technologies, including AI and machine learning, to enhance product capabilities.
  • Mentor product managers on best practices in discovery, prioritization, and launch readiness.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Design to manage risks, dependencies, and technical trade-offs.
