About The Position

As a Staff Product Manager, you will lead strategy and execution for complex products, driving end-to-end outcomes from discovery through value realization. This role requires deep customer and technical insight, strong stakeholder leadership, and ownership of multi-quarter product vision and roadmaps. You will influence cross-functional teams, leverage data-driven decision-making, and identify innovation opportunities to enhance product impact. Acting as a recognized authority, you will mentor peers and elevate product management practices while ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and delivering measurable value. The Global Data Platforms team collaborates with markets worldwide to develop innovative data products that drive business value. This team leads product strategy and execution across complex, interconnected offerings, ensuring alignment with market needs and emerging technologies. Members work closely with cross-functional partners to manage product lifecycles, prioritize data-driven decisions, and deliver scalable solutions. The team fosters a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging advanced analytics and stakeholder engagement to shape product direction. It serves as a key driver in advancing Walmart’s data capabilities and delivering impactful outcomes on a global scale.

Requirements

  • Proven experience driving product strategy and execution for complex or multiple related products.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in product lifecycle management from discovery through value realization.
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision making, including advanced analytics and experimentation.
  • Deep understanding of emerging technologies and their application in product development.
  • Ability to translate customer and business insights into prioritized, measurable outcomes.
  • Skilled in developing product roadmaps aligned with business strategies and market trends.
  • Experience mentoring product managers and elevating product management discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 7 years’ experience in product management.
  • 9 years’ experience in product management or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 6 years’ experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences.
  • Demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute multi-quarter product vision and strategy for complex or related products, aligning with business objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver value from discovery through launch and scaling.
  • Build deep customer and market insights using data analysis, design thinking, and feedback mechanisms to prioritize product initiatives.
  • Drive data-driven decision making through experimentation, telemetry, and performance measurement to optimize product outcomes.
  • Influence technical direction by collaborating with Engineering on architecture, feasibility, and innovation opportunities.
  • Mentor product managers, promoting rigorous discovery, roadmap development, and launch readiness.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment and successful go-to-market execution.
