About The Position

Xometry is hiring a Staff Product Manager to own the end-to-end request-to-quote experience for its most important customers. The role sits between Sales and quoting teams in the Pricing and Manufacturability (P&M) group, alongside product managers for cost prediction, pricing, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and reports to the head of P&M product. The role is responsible for defining a roadmap from ambiguous signals and improving how requests become accurate, actionable priced quotes across channels and human and automated workflows. The product scope includes agentic quoting tools that read customer requests and files, build quotes, propose margin and lead time, and support automation of human-priced parts into the instant-pricing engine. It also includes integrations using Model Context Protocol (MCP) across Salesforce, quoting systems, file storage, and the ERP; internal quote review, pricing, and quote summary tools; and the data instrumentation needed to improve predictions and agent performance. Success is measured by quote turnaround time, cost per quote, quote accuracy, quote-to-order conversion on the human-assisted path, and adoption of staff tools. The product manager will conduct continuous discovery with quoters and account managers, use customer and staff conversations and other signals to guide decisions, and prototype with tools such as Cursor, Claude, and Figma Make. The role sets a 6-to-12-month roadmap, aligns Engineering, Data Science, Sales, Quoting Operations, and Finance, and presents progress against outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences. This is a startup-paced role within a public company, requiring fast progress from hypotheses to shipped tests. The position requires a hybrid schedule of three days per week at the Waltham, Massachusetts, or North Bethesda, Maryland, office. Xometry offers a base salary range that is listed as “[insert range]”; total compensation includes base pay, bonus, and equity.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of product management experience.
  • Direct ownership of a workflow or operations product between a sales or service organization and its customers, in a B2B, marketplace, or enterprise context.
  • Evidence of shipping AI or automation into an expert human workflow with guardrails and judgment about when not to automate.
  • Experience integrating products across systems of record, such as CRM, ERP, file storage, and messaging systems.
  • Working understanding of how agents connect to systems through tool protocols such as MCP.
  • Experience redesigning multi-channel request intake, including channels such as email, text, forms, APIs, or agents, and demonstrating reduced drop-off.
  • AI-native practice, with evidence that AI changed a team decision, not only improved personal efficiency.
  • Hands-on fluency with Cursor, Claude, or equivalent agentic tools.
  • A point of view on evaluating LLM features before and after launch.
  • Strong analytical fluency, including writing SQL, building dashboards, and identifying broken metrics before they mislead decisions.
  • Operational curiosity and ability to learn processes by working with the people who run them and earning their trust.
  • Exceptional written communication that enables operations leads, engineers, and executives to act from the same document.
  • Comfort making decisions under ambiguity and translating loosely defined problems into testable hypotheses and plans.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, pricing, or quoting, or demonstrated ability to learn an unfamiliar operational domain quickly.
  • Experience redesigning a request-to-fulfillment funnel across sales, service, and customer groups, with knowledge of channels, removed steps, before-and-after results, and adoption.
  • Experience building or owning an integration between an AI agent and a system of record, including defining permissions, human approvals, and error detection.
  • Experience shipping an AI or ML feature into a human-in-the-loop process and describing evaluation criteria, failure modes, and post-launch monitoring.
  • A case where an AI-driven workflow changed a team’s decisions, using continuous customer signals, prototype-first decisions, or evaluation criteria written before build.

Responsibilities

  • Own the request-to-quote experience for the company’s most important customers and map the request journey across intake channels, Sales, quoting, pricing review, and customer response.
  • Improve quote turnaround time, cost per quote, quote accuracy, and quote-to-order conversion on the human-assisted path.
  • Redesign intake pathways across channels, deciding where requests should be read by an agent, routed to a person, or handled through customer self-service.
  • Own the roadmap for agentic quoting, including agents that interpret requests and files, build quotes, propose margin and lead time, and help promote human-priced parts into the instant-pricing engine.
  • Define success and failure criteria for AI features before engineering begins and maintain those standards through launch and afterward.
  • Own integrations that connect agents and staff across Salesforce, quoting systems, file storage, and the ERP, including MCP servers, tool definitions, permissions, and audit trails.
  • Own internal quote review, pricing, and quote summary tools, and measure their success through staff adoption.
  • Instrument human pricing decisions, such as overrides, margin changes, and lead-time adjustments, as structured data to improve predictions and agent workflows.
  • Write SQL queries, build dashboards, and specify needed events and metrics in product requirements.
  • Conduct continuous discovery with quoters and account managers; review inbound email and text queues and session recordings; validate synthesized insights with live customer and staff conversations.
  • Use working prototypes tested with intended users as a default artifact for build decisions.
  • Define a 6-to-12-month agentic quoting roadmap, sequence it by customer impact and speed, and align Engineering, Data Science, Sales, Quoting Operations, and Finance.
  • Present progress against named outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Work spec-first with agentic tools, investigate relevant systems, ask feasibility questions, and write specifications suitable for engineers and coding agents.
  • Prototype with Cursor, Claude, and Figma Make before writing requirements.
  • Share effective and unsuccessful AI workflows and patterns with other product managers.
  • Move quickly from hypothesis to shipped test in an open-ended problem space.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) match.
  • Life and disability insurance.
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, floating holidays, and fixed holidays.
  • Maternity and bonding leave.
  • Employee assistance program (EAP) and other wellbeing resources.
  • Bonus and equity as part of total compensation.
