About The Position

Xometry is hiring a Staff Product Manager to own the end-to-end request-to-quote experience for its most important customers. The role sits in the Pricing and Manufacturability (P&M) group alongside product managers for cost prediction, pricing, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and reports to the head of P&M product. The product manager is given a metric and an open problem rather than a fully scoped backlog, and is expected to define a roadmap from ambiguous signals. The position requires a hybrid schedule of three days per week at the Waltham, Massachusetts, or North Bethesda, Maryland, office. The role encompasses redesigning how requests arrive through channels such as email, text, uploads, and agents; deciding which steps should be handled by agents, people, or self-service; and improving quote turnaround time, cost per quote, quote accuracy, and quote-to-order conversion on the human-assisted path. The product manager owns the roadmap for agentic quoting, including agents that read requests and files and build quotes, assistants that propose margin and lead time, and automation that moves human-priced parts into the instant-pricing engine. The position also owns the integration layer connecting agents and staff across Salesforce, quoting systems, file storage, and the ERP. This includes MCP servers, tool definitions, permissions, and audit trails. The product manager owns internal quote review, pricing, and quote summary tools, with adoption as a key measure of success. They instrument human pricing decisions as structured data, write queries and build dashboards, and conduct continuous discovery with quoters, account managers, customers, and operational data. The role sets a six- to twelve-month roadmap, aligns Engineering, Data Science, Sales, Quoting Operations, and Finance, and communicates progress against outcomes. It operates spec-first, uses agentic tools to investigate systems and establish feasibility, prototypes in Cursor, Claude, and Figma Make, and writes requirements that engineers can hand to coding agents. The product manager also shares effective and unsuccessful AI workflows with peers and helps raise product practice across the team.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of product management experience, including direct ownership of a workflow or operations product between a sales or service organization and its customers in a B2B, marketplace, or enterprise context.
  • Evidence of shipping AI or automation into an expert human workflow with guardrails, and judgment about when not to automate.
  • Experience integrating products across systems of record such as CRM, ERP, file storage, and messaging; working understanding of connecting agents through tool protocols such as MCP.
  • Experience redesigning multi-channel request intake, such as email, text, forms, APIs, or agents, and demonstrating reduced drop-off.
  • AI-native product practice, with examples of AI changing a team decision rather than only saving time.
  • Hands-on fluency with Cursor, Claude, or equivalent agentic tools, and a point of view on evaluating LLM features before and after launch.
  • Strong analytical fluency, including writing SQL, building dashboards, and identifying broken metrics before they mislead decisions.
  • Operational curiosity and ability to learn processes by working directly with the people who run them and earn their trust.
  • Exceptional written communication that enables operations, engineering, and executive stakeholders to act on the same information.
  • Ability to make decisions under ambiguity and turn loosely defined problems into testable hypotheses and plans.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, pricing, or quoting, or demonstrated ability to learn an unfamiliar operational domain quickly.
  • Experience redesigning a request-to-fulfillment funnel across a sales team, a service team, and their customers, with evidence of channels, removed steps, results, and adoption.
  • Experience building or owning an integration between an AI agent and a system of record, including defining permissions, human approvals, and error detection.
  • Experience shipping an AI or ML feature into a human-in-the-loop process and defining its evaluation criteria, failure modes, and post-launch monitoring.
  • A case where an AI-driven workflow changed a team decision, supported by continuous customer signal, prototype-first decisions, and evaluation criteria defined before build.

Responsibilities

  • Own the request-to-quote experience for Xometry's most important customers and map the complete request path from intake through processing and customer response.
  • Improve quote turnaround time, cost per quote, quote accuracy, and quote-to-order conversion on the human-assisted path.
  • Redesign intake pathways across channels, reduce drop-offs, and determine which requests should be handled by agents, people, or self-service.
  • Own the agentic quoting roadmap, including request-reading and quote-building agents, margin and lead-time assistants, and automation that promotes human-priced parts into the instant-pricing engine.
  • Define success criteria and failure modes for AI features before engineering begins, and monitor performance through launch and afterward.
  • Own the integration layer connecting agents and people across Salesforce, quoting systems, file storage, and the ERP, including MCP servers, tool definitions, permissions, and audit trails.
  • Build and own internal quote review, pricing, and quote summary tools, and measure their adoption by quoting and sales teams.
  • Instrument human pricing decisions as structured data; write queries, build dashboards, and specify required product events.
  • Conduct continuous discovery with quoters, account managers, customers, and operational data; prototype and test with intended users to guide build decisions.
  • Define and sequence a six- to twelve-month roadmap, and align Engineering, Data Science, Sales, Quoting Operations, and Finance around it.
  • Present progress against named outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Use agentic tools to inspect relevant systems, assess feasibility, write implementation-ready specifications, and prototype with Cursor, Claude, and Figma Make.
  • Share effective and unsuccessful AI workflows and patterns with other product managers.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) match.
  • Life and disability insurance.
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, floating holidays, and fixed holidays.
  • Maternity and bonding leave.
  • Employee assistance program (EAP) and other wellbeing resources.
  • Total compensation package includes base pay, bonus, and equity.
