•$180,000 - $207,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Xometry is hiring a Staff Product Manager to own the end-to-end request-to-quote experience for its most important customers. The role is part of the Pricing and Manufacturability (P&M) group, alongside product managers for cost prediction, pricing, and Design for Manufacturability, and reports to the head of P&M product. The position requires a hybrid schedule of three days per week at the Waltham, Massachusetts or North Bethesda, Maryland office. The role will define and deliver an agentic quoting strategy across request intake, quote creation, pricing, human review, and customer delivery. It includes designing AI agents that interpret requests and files, build quotes, and propose prices, as well as Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations connecting agents and people to Salesforce, quoting systems, file storage, and the ERP. The product manager will also own internal quote review, pricing, and quote summary tools, and determine which work should be automated, reviewed by a person, or remain human-led. The position is expected to set its own roadmap from ambiguous signals, define success and failure criteria for AI features, instrument human decisions as structured data, and continuously conduct discovery with quoters, account managers, customers, and operational teams. The role will establish a 6-to-12-month roadmap, align cross-functional partners, prototype and specify products using AI tools, and present progress against measurable outcomes. Key measures include quote turnaround time, cost per quote, quote accuracy, quote-to-order conversion on the human-assisted path, and adoption of staff tools.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience.
  • Direct ownership of a workflow or operations product serving as an interface between a sales or service organization and its customers in a B2B, marketplace, or enterprise context.
  • Evidence of shipping AI or automation into an expert human workflow with guardrails and judgment about when not to automate.
  • Experience integrating products across systems of record such as CRM, ERP, file storage, and messaging systems.
  • Working understanding of how agents connect to systems through tool protocols such as MCP.
  • Experience redesigning multi-channel request intake, such as email, text, forms, APIs, or agents, and demonstrating reduced drop-off.
  • Hands-on fluency with Cursor, Claude, or equivalent agentic tools, and a point of view on evaluating LLM features before and after launch.
  • Strong analytical skills, including writing SQL, building dashboards, and identifying broken metrics.
  • Operational curiosity and ability to learn processes by working directly with the people who run them and earning their trust.
  • Exceptional written communication that enables operations leads, engineers, and executives to act on the same information.
  • Ability to make decisions under ambiguity and translate loosely defined problems into testable hypotheses and plans.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, pricing, or quoting, or demonstrated ability to learn an unfamiliar operational domain quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Own and improve the end-to-end request-to-quote experience for important customers across intake channels, sales, quoting, pricing review, and customer delivery.
  • Map existing quote-request pathways and remove unnecessary steps and handoffs.
  • Redesign intake pathways to address channel-specific drop-offs and determine where requests should be handled by agents, people, or self-service.
  • Own the roadmap for agentic quoting, including agents that read requests and files, build quotes, propose margins and lead times, and support promotion of human-priced parts into instant pricing.
  • Define success and failure criteria and guardrails for AI features before development, and monitor those criteria through and after launch.
  • Own integrations between agents, employees, Salesforce, quoting systems, file storage, and the ERP, including MCP servers, tool definitions, permissions, and audit trails.
  • Build and own internal quote review, pricing, and quote summary tools, with adoption as a key product measure.
  • Instrument human pricing decisions such as overrides, margin changes, and lead-time adjustments as structured data for improving predictions and agent runs.
  • Write SQL queries, build dashboards, and specify required product events and metrics.
  • Conduct continuous discovery with quoters, account managers, customers, and staff, using operational observation, communications, session recordings, AI-assisted synthesis, and prototype testing.
  • Define a 6-to-12-month agentic quoting roadmap, sequence it by customer impact and speed, and align Engineering, Data Science, Sales, Quoting Operations, and Finance.
  • Present progress against named outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Work spec-first with AI agents and tools; inspect relevant systems, ask feasibility questions, write actionable specifications, and prototype in Cursor, Claude, and Figma Make.
  • Share effective and ineffective AI workflows and patterns with other product managers.
