About The Position

Grafana Labs is hiring a Staff Product Manager to own its Enterprise Deployment Solutions, specifically Grafana Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) and Grafana Federal Cloud. These offerings serve organizations that cannot use standard multi-tenant SaaS because of compliance, data, or cost-at-scale constraints. Federal Cloud supports US federal agencies, state, local, and education customers, and commercial companies that provide FedRAMP offerings. BYOC provides the Grafana Cloud experience while customers pay their cloud infrastructure provider directly. The role is responsible for adapting Grafana Cloud capabilities to regulated and customer-owned environments, deciding which features to support, defer, or exclude, and sometimes developing deployment-specific capabilities. The product manager will also help determine future deployment models. The position uses AI tools daily to support research, analyze product signals, and develop positioning, applying judgment to the results. Grafana Labs is a 100% remote company with globally distributed teams. This position is fully remote and considers candidates in the US Eastern time zone.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product management experience on a technical B2B product, or a technical background such as software engineering, solutions architecture, SRE, or technical program management, plus demonstrated movement into product ownership.
  • Hands-on experience with a non-standard SaaS deployment model, such as self-managed, air-gapped, sovereign, BYOC, single-tenant, or FedRAMP/government cloud, and firsthand understanding of its effects on product, operations, and economics.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, platform software, or developer tools.
  • Product and go-to-market judgment, including experience shaping what a product should be and how it is positioned and sold.
  • Interest in working with US public sector customers and learning their needs and buying cycles; deep compliance expertise is not required.
  • Experience leading across multiple teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a remote, globally distributed organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling to or building for US federal, state, or local government customers, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with government or sovereign cloud frameworks such as FedRAMP, StateRAMP/GovRAMP, BSI C5, or SecNumCloud, or offerings such as AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, AWS European Sovereign Cloud, or GCP Sovereign Cloud.
  • Experience with pricing and packaging across deployment models.
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, or other data-intensive infrastructure products.
  • Experience working with resellers, systems integrators, or cloud marketplace partners.
  • Familiarity with open source software or commercial open source companies.

Responsibilities

  • Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Grafana Bring Your Own Cloud and Grafana Federal Cloud, using product data and market research to balance customer value with engineering cost and technical constraints.
  • Own product positioning, messaging, and differentiation, including comparisons with standard Grafana Cloud; partner with Product Marketing on launches, competitive analysis, enablement, and demand programs.
  • Partner with Engineering and Technical Program Management on deployments, balancing customer timelines with engineering capacity.
  • Work directly with customers, prospects, and field teams on strategic deals, and brief partners, resellers, and analysts on deployment options.
  • Partner with Security, Compliance, and Legal on product changes that affect authorization or existing customer commitments.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate research, analyze product signals, and develop positioning.

Benefits

  • Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
  • Global annual leave policy of 30 days per annum, with 3 days reserved for Grafana Shutdown Days, subject to local legislation.
  • In-person onboarding.
