About The Position

As Staff Product Manager for Manufacturing Software, you will lead product for the entirety of Maritime Digital Production (MDP), setting vision and strategy across its factory data platform, manufacturing execution applications, scheduling and optimization engine, and AI systems. You will balance investment across these domains, set a high product bar, and guide other product managers while building alignment with engineering, operations, leadership, and partner platform teams. MDP builds the software and digital systems for Anduril's shipbuilding factories, including ArsenalOS, the manufacturing execution system used by workers and planners. Its work spans operational technology and information technology, from factory-floor machines, sensors, and edge compute to enterprise platforms and cloud infrastructure. The team develops and validates workflows with operators, then hardens and scales them across sites. Its work is anchored by Arsenal-2, a software-defined shipyard under development in Baltimore County, Maryland; development is already underway in Orange County, California. The role involves setting multi-year product strategy and portfolio priorities, discovering operational problems through factory-floor research, defining requirements and success hypotheses, and guiding products from design through deployment, adoption, and support. You will coordinate roadmaps and dependencies with Corporate Technology and other partner teams. Travel up to 25% is required. U.S. Person status is required to access export-controlled data, and candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in software product management or a similar product-development leadership role, including portfolio ownership or product leadership across multiple teams or domains.
  • Demonstrated ability to set functional- or organizational-level product vision and strategy and drive it through multiple teams.
  • Experience mentoring or guiding product managers and establishing product practices and standards.
  • Domain expertise in a hardware-related industry such as manufacturing, supply chain, warehousing, or logistics.
  • Ability to gather and refine functional and non-functional requirements, including capacity, performance, and reliability, and turn them into a prioritized backlog.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise systems and their interplay, including ERP, WMS, MES, PLM, and supplier portals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence engineers, operations stakeholders, and senior leadership and assess underlying needs behind requests.
  • Demonstrated success working directly with end users in operational environments, including firsthand observation of production or factory-floor workflows.
  • Ability to navigate cross-team and cross-department dynamics, represent customer needs, and build alignment when priorities differ.
  • Experience aligning a product roadmap with a partner or platform organization and coordinating shared technology and dependencies.
  • Demonstrated success decomposing complex problems and sequencing work across teams.
  • Ability to craft product strategy beyond the current development cycle.
  • Experience maturing products from MVP to enterprise-grade production at scale.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • U.S. Person status is required to access export-controlled data.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building or owning manufacturing execution systems (MES), shop floor control systems, or operational software for factory, warehouse, or field environments.
  • Hands-on manufacturing industry experience, including time on assembly lines or in production facilities working directly with operators and technicians.
  • Experience with UI/UX web design tools such as Figma.
  • Familiarity with frontier AI tooling and AI-assisted software development workflows.
  • Experience in hyper-growth, startup-like environments balancing speed, ambiguity, and long-term platform health.
  • Background in operations research, industrial engineering, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience leading product across multiple domains or lines of effort within one function or organization.
  • Experience supporting multi-site product rollouts, change management, and user training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Set product vision and multi-year strategy across all Maritime Digital Production domains, making portfolio-level investment tradeoffs.
  • Own cross-domain roadmap and prioritization across factory data, manufacturing execution, scheduling and optimization, and AI initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide product managers, establish product practices and standards, and create clarity across domains.
  • Gather and refine functional and non-functional requirements, including capacity, performance, and reliability, and set standards for capturing and prioritizing requirements.
  • Engage stakeholders and senior leadership, communicate goals and expectations, and own major portfolio tradeoffs and decision points.
  • Conduct onsite user research on the factory floor, talk with technicians and operators, observe workflows, and translate findings into product opportunities and requirements.
  • Work backward from strategy to set clear outcomes with engineering, design, and operations leaders, and establish structures for prioritizing competing work across teams.
  • Navigate cross-team and cross-department dynamics, advocate for customer needs, and align priorities with partner platform teams.
  • Align Maritime's product roadmap with the Corporate Technology product organization and shared platforms, standards, and dependencies.
  • Guide products from design through delivery, deployment, adoption, and support on the factory floor.
  • Decompose complex problems into sequenced components and keep the portfolio adaptable as new information arrives.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers.
  • Top-tier benefits package available at little to no cost to employees.
