About The Position

LiveKit is seeking a Product Manager to manage the relationship between its product/engineering teams and customers within the sales cycle, covering mid-market commercial accounts to large enterprise deals. This role is a key counterpart to the Growth PM, focusing on customers engaged in the sales process and scaling in production. The Product Manager will work closely with customers and prospects to understand their challenges in going to production or expanding usage, translating these insights into roadmap priorities for engineering teams. This role also serves as a liaison between the sales organization and engineering, ensuring alignment and shared understanding. LiveKit is a venture-backed, fast-growing company that provides a developer platform for building and operating real-time voice AI agents. They offer SDKs, agent hosting, inference, telephony, and observability, aiming to be the leading platform for voice agents.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in product management, with significant experience working with enterprise sales motions.
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager that sales teams rely on.
  • Technical depth to engage in conversations about infrastructure, APIs, WebRTC, telephony, or AI/ML pipelines, understanding systems well enough to build trust with engineers and make informed tradeoffs.
  • Strong customer instincts, with experience directly engaging enterprise customers to identify real blockers versus nice-to-haves and distilling signal from multiple customer conversations.
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally and align teams without direct authority, relying on clarity, trust, and good judgment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including clear writing, effective presentation, and the ability to switch between strategic and detailed technical discussions.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to prioritize ruthlessly and move quickly with incomplete information in a fast-growing company.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at a developer tools or infrastructure company.
  • Familiarity with real-time communication, WebRTC, or telephony.
  • Background in AI/ML platforms or voice AI specifically.
  • Experience with usage-based pricing models.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the product expert for sales-cycle customers, joining calls, understanding technical requirements, and demonstrating how LiveKit fits into prospect architectures, collaborating with solutions engineers and account executives.
  • Organize and prioritize customer requests from the sales cycle, creating a consolidated view of needs, urgency, and responsible engineering teams to replace scattered communication with clear visibility.
  • Translate customer needs into roadmap priorities by synthesizing patterns from customer conversations and collaborating with engineering leads on what gets built and when.
  • Facilitate communication between sales and engineering, ensuring sales is aware of upcoming developments and engineering understands customer requests, focusing on high-bandwidth, trust-based relationships rather than heavy processes.
  • Equip the Go-To-Market (GTM) team with roadmap context, competitive positioning, and product knowledge to support deal closure and expansion, and assist in shaping packaging and pricing for enterprise offerings.
