About The Position

Taxbit is seeking a Staff Product Manager to own the expanding universe of core forms, filings, and the data model extensions that support them. This role is crucial for enabling widespread compliant adoption of digital assets. The platform streamlines and automates tax reporting and accounting activities for digital assets, serving leading crypto exchanges, fintechs, and financial platforms. The Staff Product Manager will own the product lifecycle for established and emerging tax information reporting regimes, including 1099-series forms, 1042-S, 1098, and W-2G, as well as the filing infrastructure. This includes defining data model changes required for new fields, templates, and validation rules to ensure seamless downstream processes. The role involves close collaboration with Engineering, Tax Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and peer Product Managers to deliver a scalable, correct, and self-serve product experience for enterprise customers.

Requirements

• 7-8+ years of product management experience in Enterprise B2B SaaS, with a track record of shipping multi-quarter projects that span multiple teams or systems.
• Meaningful experience building products in domains bound by hard external constraints (e.g., Tax, Information Reporting, Financial Services, Payments, KYC/AML).
• Demonstrated ability to define or extend data schemas, APIs, or platform data models.
• Proven ability to coordinate across engineering teams, SMEs, and peer PMs to deliver integrated outcomes.
• Exceptionally clear written PRDs, scope documents, and trade-off analyses.
• Actively use AI tools to accelerate PM work: research, drafting, analysis, and decision-framing.
• Identify opportunities to embed AI-assisted capabilities into the product itself.

Nice To Haves

• Direct experience with US tax information reporting (1099s, 1042-S, FATCA, withholding) or crypto/digital asset platforms.
• Familiarity with IRS electronic filing systems (FIRE, IRIS) or equivalent regulatory submission infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Drive the product roadmap for Taxbit's core forms and filing portfolio, spanning established and emerging reporting regimes (excluding CARF/CRS).
• Assess which form types and filing capabilities warrant investment by evaluating customer demand, market opportunity, and regulatory urgency.
• Scope requirements, including data model changes, write detailed PRDs, and work with Engineering to deliver new form types and filing capabilities on time and with quality.
• Partner closely with Tax SMEs to understand IRS guidance, withholding rules, and form instructions, proposing implementations that satisfy compliance requirements while ensuring customer usability and platform scalability.
• Coordinate dependencies across Forms & Filing, Tax Data Platform, and the IR Experience to ensure seamless integration into the broader platform.
• Create prototypes using AI tools and our design system, paired with written documentation covering edge cases and state logic for straightforward changes.
• Produce customer-facing materials that articulate the value of new products, including managing launches, creating customer-facing slides, contributing to Executive Business Review collateral, and supporting webinar content.
• Share knowledge, methods, and standards across the PM team and proactively mentor more junior colleagues.
• Help define and maintain repeatable templates for product communication, such as launch playbooks, customer-facing roadmap slides, and Executive Business Review collateral structures.
