About The Position

The Production Worker / Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. This role supports the manufacturing process by identifying defects, maintaining equipment, and following production protocols. This job profile is intended for support staff that follows established procedures and works under close supervision. Smaller/easier decisions are made autonomously. This role supports organizations of various sizes and is designed for individuals who enjoy hands‑on technical work, clear documentation, and contributing to high‑quality production and repair processes. As part of the team, you will be responsible for inspecting, and testing products according to engineering specifications. A key part of the role involves creating Job Books that guide mechanics on the shop floor, as well as producing 2D assembly forms and repair instructions used during mechanical inspections and repair activities. Once repair work is completed, you will be responsible for digitizing the Job Books to ensure accurate, organized records of all work performed. Day‑to‑day, you will visually and mechanically inspect finished goods, identify and document any defects, and communicate issues to the appropriate teams. You’ll help maintain production and inspection equipment, follow all safety and quality procedures, and assist with basic troubleshooting or maintenance tasks as needed. Collaboration is important in this role, and you will work closely with team members to meet production goals and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Comfort reading and following technical instructions or drawings
  • A high school diploma
  • Technical proficiency with AutoCAD
  • Technical proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years of experience working with turbomachinery
  • Familiarity with safety, inspection, and quality standards
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with any 2D or 3D modeling tools (such as Blender, Polyworks, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Maya, or 3ds Max)
