About The Position

Perform basic redline drafting of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs). Supervision with specific and detailed instructions from the supervisor for day-to-day projects. This position reports directly to the Drafting Team Manager.

Requirements

Must be a motivated self-starter with initiative, drive and can work both independently and as a member of a team.
Must be detailed oriented; precise and organized in handling of drawings.
Solid organizational skills required; must be able to prioritize and multitask
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Community college drafting / CAD courses or previous experience with CAD required.
Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to take direction, learn standards, and follow Standard Operating Procedures.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of AutoCAD® 3-Dimensional drafting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for drawings to have a professional appearance.
Required to accurately capture red lines assigned by the project lead.
Responsible for accurate back check of individual work against redlined documents.
Establish working relationships to maintain a positive and productive work environment internally.
Required to learn Kahuna and client specific drafting standards.
Ability to do basic 2D drafting utilizing AutoCAD® and CADWorx P&ID® pre-developed tools.
Basic understanding of P&ID symbology.
Must learn CADWorx P&ID® built-in and Kahuna developed functionality.
Accountable to immediate supervisor for receiving tasks.
Accountable to immediate supervisor for timesheet approval.
Demonstrate a basic understanding of the workflow from beginning to end of a project.
Demonstrate ability to functionally communicate technical and administrative project/task details, including correspondence via e-mails and general documentation.
Organize and prepare drawings for delivery while maintaining security and confidentiality in a timely manner.
Must be willing to be flexible with your schedule to meet deadlines.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
