About The Position

Verily Health is seeking a Staff Product Manager to own product strategy for its AI Platform: capabilities that first- and third-party AI developers use to benchmark, evaluate, monitor, and improve AI experiences in healthcare. The initial major initiative is the Evaluation Harness, which supports evaluation approaches including golden-dataset evaluations, code assertions, LLM-as-a-judge evaluations, error analysis, and customer feedback signals—from quick checks to long-running validation for regulated use. The role will define a 12-month strategy and longer-term vision for the AI Platform in healthcare, then work closely with a team of software engineers and AI developers to build it. The product is intended to support multiple customers, market verticals, and clinical risk levels, and to help establish trust in AI solutions across Verily. The position requires hands-on product leadership, technical collaboration, customer discovery, roadmap ownership, and coordination with clinical, regulatory, quality, security, and data science experts.

Requirements

At least 5 years of product management experience on platform products.
Experience embedded with engineering scrum teams and a record of shipping and operating products.
Hands-on experience shipping AI evaluation tooling used by customers, such as LLM-as-a-judge frameworks, golden datasets, code assertions, and trace tooling; ability to describe products, difficult problems solved, and adoption and quality outcomes.
Technical background in software engineering, systems engineering, data science, clinical informatics, or a comparable discipline.
Ability to review architecture with engineers and discuss LLM behavior in depth with data scientists.
Experience aligning technical and non-technical leaders around a product vision and resolving stakeholder conflict to reach decisions.
Experience owning a multi-tenant, version-controlled platform in a high-growth environment, including tenancy, versioning, and backward-compatibility tradeoffs.
Must not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Healthcare domain fluency, including FHIR resources, clinical informatics, and interoperability standards.
Understanding of what constitutes a correct clinical output and who must approve it.
Experience navigating HIPAA, GxP, FDA SaMD, or other healthcare compliance frameworks, ideally including building validation or audit evidence into a product.
Experience building evaluations for clinical or high-stakes AI outputs such as summarization, coding, triage, or decision support, including clinician-in-the-loop labeling and adjudication.

Responsibilities

Build a scalable AI evaluation platform for developers across customers, market verticals, and clinical risk levels, rather than a point solution.
Identify end users, map their journeys, understand unmet needs, and lead continuous discovery, delivery, and iteration.
Take responsibility for end-to-end user value creation.
Collaborate as a technical peer with software architects, engineers, and data scientists on architecture and AI tradeoffs.
Align solutions with Verily’s existing platform capabilities and partner with teams to extend those capabilities at scale.
Work with clinical, regulatory, quality, security, and data science subject matter experts to align solutions with healthcare business constraints and reduce risk.
Own the AI Evaluation Harness portfolio and roadmap across error analysis, golden datasets, code assertions, LLM-as-a-judge, and customer feedback signals.
Align stakeholders when interests conflict.
Develop and communicate product strategy and priorities at different levels and time horizons, including a 12-month strategy, half-year milestones, quarterly delivery roadmap, and biweekly sprint priorities.
Set product direction, sequence delivery steps, and remain hands-on with the scrum team.
