Clio is seeking a Staff Product Designer for its new Judiciary team, which is developing technology to help judges and clerks navigate their work in the age of AI. The role focuses on creating products for courts and judges that protect judicial independence and impartiality while meeting rigorous standards for transparency, security, and the integrity of judicial decision making. The designer will lead strategy and end-to-end experience design for a zero-to-one product in an emerging space, from discovery and opportunity framing through launch and iteration. Working on a small team, the designer will partner closely with Product and Engineering leaders to set vision, raise quality, and shape AI experiences that are trustworthy, explainable, and appropriately controlled. The position calls for someone who can thrive amid ambiguity, build a deep understanding of niche customer needs, and turn that understanding into clear direction, cohesive experiences, and measurable outcomes. The role is available to candidates across Canada (excluding Quebec) and the US. Candidates located near Clio hubs in Burnaby, Calgary, or Toronto are expected to work in the office at least twice per week on designated Anchor Days. Clio describes its work environment as hybrid, with an in-office minimum twice weekly for local employees in specified locations.
