As a Staff Product Designer, you’ll help redefine what modern dating feels like—safe, joyful, and deeply human. You’ll be a key driver at the intersection of product, engineering, and research, balancing exceptional product thinking with high craft standards and a deep respect for the people who use Bumble. Working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and fellow designers, you’ll solve complex user problems and create intuitive, emotionally intelligent experiences that empower people to connect with confidence. You’ll be part of a team that champions craft, consistency, and inclusion across Bumble’s ecosystem. This role calls for a designer who combines user empathy, strategic thinking, data-informed decision making, and creativity, while embracing AI thoughtfully and modeling Bumble’s values of Respect, Curiosity, and Joy in everything they do.

Requirements

Expert end-to-end product designer with a track record of delivering thoughtful, high-quality mobile experiences that solve meaningful user problems.
Strong product thinking with systems thinking, balancing user needs, technical feasibility, and business goals to create experiences that resonate globally.
Exceptional visual, interaction, and prototyping skills, with expertise in Figma, AI-assisted design workflows, and modern prototyping tools.
Thrive in collaborative environments, building trusted partnerships across Product, Engineering, Research, and Design to create better outcomes together.
Fluent in inclusive design principles and accessibility standards, and bring a global perspective to every design challenge.
Curious about how AI can enhance creativity, accelerate design exploration, and improve user experiences, and use these tools responsibly and ethically.
Take ownership of complex initiatives from discovery through delivery, influence others through expertise and collaboration, and help elevate design quality through thoughtful feedback and a commitment to craft excellence.
Typically requires 10+ years of experience, though we welcome candidates with alternative backgrounds that demonstrate equivalent skills.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end design across multiple feature areas within Bumble Date, leading work from discovery and problem framing through interaction design, visual refinement, prototyping, and delivery.
Influence product direction by identifying opportunities, framing complex user problems, and partnering closely with cross-functional teams to shape user-centered solutions.
Design intuitive, emotionally resonant experiences grounded in user research, behavioral insights, data, and product strategy.
Collaborate with Product Managers, User Researchers, Engineers, and Data partners to validate ideas, synthesize insights, and iteratively improve experiences.
Apply AI-powered tools and workflows to accelerate exploration, improve accessibility, and responsibly personalize user experiences while maintaining thoughtful human judgment.
Contribute to shared UX patterns, design systems, and design standards that strengthen consistency, scalability, and craft across Bumble’s ecosystem.
Clearly communicate design rationale to teammates and leadership, connecting design decisions to user needs, business outcomes, and product strategy.
