About The Position
TeamHealth is seeking board-certified or board-eligible emergency medicine physicians to join its team at Lutheran Downtown Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The hospital’s emergency department has 22 beds and sees approximately 22,000 patients annually. It provides 24-hour physician coverage and 16 hours of advanced practice clinician coverage, has moderate acuity, and an 8.75% admission rate. Physicians must be board certified or board eligible in emergency medicine. Lutheran Downtown Hospital opened for patient care in November 2021 with 60 beds and room to expand. It is part of Lutheran Health Network and provides a variety of inpatient and outpatient services. The position is based in Fort Wayne, a community offering outdoor recreation, parks and trails, educational opportunities, entertainment, and arts and cultural attractions.
