About The Position

The Staff Pharmacist oversees daily pharmacy operations in the absence of the Pharmacist-in-Charge. The role ensures safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, provides exceptional customer service, supervises pharmacy staff, supports efficient workflows, and maintains compliance with applicable state rules and regulations. It requires independent judgment, leadership, and a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements, along with a commitment to Ebenezer’s mission and vision and a high-quality, patient-centered pharmacy environment.

Requirements

Doctorate of Pharmacy.
Proficient knowledge of pharmacy information systems and data entry.
Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy practices and procedures.
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
Mathematical abilities, including calculating discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, and volume; basic algebra; and practical mathematics.
Pharmacist license from the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy.
Immunization certification in the state of Minnesota within 30 days.

Nice To Haves

One year of pharmacist experience.
Experience working as a pharmacist in a long-term care pharmacy.
Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

Read, interpret, and enter prescriptions into the online pharmacy prescription system.
Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled.
Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds.
Assist the Pharmacist-in-Charge with training, coaching, and managing pharmacy staff.
Create and maintain patient profiles and prescription information to provide accurate care.
