About The Position
As a Staff Pharmacist at CVS Health, you help deliver accessible, affordable, high-quality care and support patients on their path to better health. You support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff and help manage, oversee, and operate all aspects of the pharmacy, including patient safety, professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel and inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management. You help keep customers and patients healthy through adoption and management of patient care programs. The role calls for empathy and compassion, developing and motivating support staff, identifying and implementing solutions that improve pharmacy growth and performance, adapting to change in a community healthcare setting, collaborating to deliver better outcomes, and fostering a caring, energetic, and supportive team culture. Requirements
- Active pharmacy license in the state of employment.
- Must not be on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- Immunization certification through an accredited organization, such as APhA.
- Must be free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.
Responsibilities
- Support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff.
- Support management, oversight, and operation of the pharmacy, including patient safety, professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to help keep customers and patients healthy.
- Motivate, inspire, and develop Pharmacy Support Staff by assigning work to use colleagues’ strengths and address development opportunities and knowledge gaps.
- Identify business opportunities and help develop solutions to drive growth and improve pharmacy performance.
- Lead the team in implementing solutions and achieving specified goals.
- Adapt plans to change in a dynamic community healthcare setting.
- Collaborate with others and contribute to improved outcomes.
- Promote a team culture characterized by caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Apply acquired knowledge to support healthy outcomes and differentiate CVS from competitors.
