About The Position

As a Staff Pharmacist at CVS Health, you will help deliver accessible, high-quality care and support patients through prescription services and patient care programs. You will support the Pharmacy Manager in leading pharmacy technician support staff and help manage, oversee, and operate the pharmacy. The role covers patient safety, professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel and inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management.

You will lead with empathy and compassion, develop and motivate support staff, identify business opportunities, and implement solutions to improve growth and performance. You will adapt to change in a dynamic community healthcare setting, collaborate to deliver better outcomes, align colleagues around shared goals, and contribute to a caring and energetic team culture. The position is part-time, with 29 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• Active pharmacy license in the state of employment.
• Not listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
• Immunization certification through an accredited organization, such as APhA.
• Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.

Responsibilities

• Support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing pharmacy technician support staff.
• Support management, oversight, and operation of pharmacy activities, including patient safety, professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management.
• Support adoption and management of patient care programs to help keep customers and patients healthy.
• Motivate, inspire, and develop pharmacy support staff by balancing assignments, addressing development opportunities, and reducing knowledge gaps.
• Identify business opportunities and contribute to solutions that drive growth and improve pharmacy performance.
• Lead the team in implementing solutions and achieving specified goals.
• Adapt plans to change in a dynamic community healthcare setting.
• Collaborate with others and contribute to better outcomes and a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Apply acquired knowledge to help drive healthy outcomes and differentiate CVS from competitors.
