About The Position

As a Staff Pharmacist at CVS Health, you will help deliver accessible, high-quality, compassionate care and support patients’ health through prescription guidance and patient care programs. You will support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff and help manage, oversee, and operate all aspects of the pharmacy, including patient safety, professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel, inventory, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow. The role calls for empathy, adaptability, teamwork, and a focus on developing staff and improving pharmacy performance.

Requirements

• Active pharmacy license in the state of employment.
• Not listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
• Immunization certification through an accredited organization, such as APhA.
• Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.

Responsibilities

• Support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff.
• Support management, oversight, and operation of pharmacy activities, including patient safety, professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management.
• Adopt and manage patient care programs to help keep customers and patients healthy.
• Demonstrate empathy and compassion toward patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Motivate, inspire, and develop Pharmacy Support Staff by assigning work to use strengths, support development, and address knowledge gaps.
• Identify business opportunities and contribute to solutions that support growth and improve pharmacy performance.
• Lead the team in implementing solutions and achieving specified goals.
• Adapt plans to changing conditions in a community healthcare setting.
• Collaborate with others and seek ways to improve outcomes.
• Align colleagues around shared purpose and contribute to an energetic, caring team culture.
• Apply acquired knowledge to support healthy outcomes and differentiate CVS from competitors.
