About The Position
Responsible for the safe, accurate, and appropriate provision of pharmaceutical care, including medication order verification, dispensing, clinical review, medication therapy monitoring, and oversight of pharmacy operations in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
- Currently licensed, or eligible for licensure, as a pharmacist by the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Aptitude and willingness to learn hospital pharmacy practice, medication-use systems, sterile compounding, regulatory requirements, and departmental procedures
Nice To Haves
- Hospital or health-system pharmacy experience
- Previous pharmacy practice experience that demonstrates sound professional judgment and readiness to transition into the hospital setting
