About The Position

The Staff Pharmacist oversees daily pharmacy operations, fills prescriptions, and provides patient consultations. The role supervises pharmacy technicians, interns, and clerks and ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and company policies. Pharmacists participate in clinical programs, including services such as Strep Test & Treat, UTI treatment, yeast infection treatment, and cold sore consultations. A dedicated call center handles approximately 96% of incoming pharmacy calls, supporting a greater focus on patient care.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Doctorate in Pharmacy.
Active pharmacist license in the state.
Successful completion of the NAPLEX and State Law exams.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Retrieve, measure, label, and audit medications when filling prescriptions in accordance with laws and policies.
Assist customers and physicians with prescription and health inquiries in accordance with CS guidelines.
Provide professional consultations in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Communicate billing and dispensing procedures under CMS DMEPOS guidelines, including handling complaints.
Participate in clinical programs and handle pharmacist-related phone inquiries.
Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with policies and laws.
Conduct monthly CII audits and maintain controlled substance records.
Verify prescriptions and review patient records.
Order, stock, and maintain pharmacy product inventory.
Train pharmacy technicians and provide performance feedback.
Manage the customer sales register and maintain pharmacy professionalism.
Keep the pharmacy clean and organized.
Attend training and policy update meetings.
Maintain standards in management's absence and engage in clinical programs.
