Staff Pharmacist - Salaried (64 hours)
About The Position
As a Staff Pharmacist at Walmart, you will provide patient care and use your clinical knowledge to practice at the top of your license. The pharmacy team works in an energetic environment with resources and technology to support quality, heartfelt care and patients’ health and wellness. The role includes dispensing prescriptions, counseling customers, administering immunizations and other Walmart programs, and supporting pharmacy staff in providing customer service. The position is listed as salaried for 64 hours. The stated annual salary range is $98,000–$172,000 for a 40-hour-per-week schedule; ranges are prorated according to scheduled hours. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, PharmD degree, or equivalent FPGE (NABP).
- Pharmacy license by job entry date.
- Completion of an ACPE-accredited immunization training program, such as APhA, pharmacy school curriculum, or a state pharmacy association-sponsored program.
- Proficiency in pharmaceutical care and implementing best practices.
- Ability to foster relationships with customers and partners.
- Adaptability to patient needs and a variety of medical concerns.
- Enthusiasm for participating in community activities, outreach, and events.
- Commitment to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Provide pharmaceutical care to customers, including processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders.
- Counsel customers regarding healthcare and prescription medication needs.
- Administer immunizations and other programs developed by Walmart.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Model and provide guidance to pharmacy staff on proper customer service approaches.
