About The Position

TeamHealth is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join its emergency medicine team at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, California. The 521-bed facility has an emergency department that sees a high annual patient volume and is a certified STEMI receiving center and stroke center. Advanced practice clinicians work independently, seeing patients with varying acuity levels and covering both the fast track and main emergency department, with specialty support available. Qualified candidates must have at least two years of emergency medicine experience as a PA or NP. The estimated base compensation is $80 to $90 per hour, with the opportunity to earn incentives. Sharp Grossmont Hospital’s emergency department is described as technologically advanced and serves a diverse population. It is designated as a STEMI center and stroke center, and has a helipad for patients arriving with medical emergencies from rural areas. La Mesa is located about nine miles east of downtown San Diego and is described as a desirable community with a mild climate, walkable neighborhoods, tree-lined streets, retail and commercial areas, and a downtown village.
