About The Position

Nscale is hiring an individual-contributor Technical Program Manager in its Deployment PMO, which coordinates the teams and partners that turn signed contracts into live AI infrastructure. The role owns the operational-readiness and handoff process for large AI infrastructure deployments, ensuring each validated cluster is fully built, documented, supported, and formally accepted by the customer and operations team. Travel up to 50% of the time is expected, primarily to data center sites. The TPM manages readiness across each cluster’s platform services, maintains named owners and evidence for readiness criteria, and coordinates services in deployment order. The role assembles a customer handover package covering cluster scope, GPU capacity, technical overview, contacts, bill of materials, validation evidence, deviations, known issues, and residual risks. It also leads operational acceptance, verifies support paths and contractual hardware-failure terms, briefs customers and leadership on readiness and risk, tracks post-handoff items through closure, and improves reusable handover and acceptance materials. Success includes weekly-reviewed readiness checklists with named service owners, complete handover packages signed without rework, formal operations acceptance without surprise gaps, timely closure of open items, and increasingly effective reusable templates and processes.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure operations, SRE, service transition, or technical program management for large-scale data center or cloud platforms.
  • Hands-on experience moving new infrastructure into production support, including runbooks, ticketing, escalation, and hardware returns.
  • Working knowledge of data center and cloud control-plane services, including DHCP/PXE, DNS, NTP, PKI, secrets management, identity and access, observability, and asset systems such as NetBox.
  • Familiarity with GPU cluster validation evidence and how it maps to customer acceptance.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple owners across engineering, SRE, networking, and operations toward a firm date.
  • Clear, concise writing skills and ability to produce customer-facing documents ready for signature.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, primarily to data center sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience handing over NVIDIA GB200/GB300 or Vera Rubin NVL72-class clusters to hyperscaler or AI lab customers.
  • Experience with OpenStack, Ceph, Kubernetes, Vault, or similar platform services in production.
  • Background in ITIL service transition or an equivalent operational acceptance process.
  • Experience with contractual SLAs for hardware failure, repair, and service credits.
  • Experience building automation for readiness tracking and handover reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Own the operational-readiness checklist for each cluster and ensure every service has a named owner.
  • Track service bring-up in the required sequence, from network edge and management connectivity through core services, cloud platform and storage, secrets management, control planes, and application services.
  • Track and escalate blockers to operationally essential services, providing evidence and recovery dates.
  • Assemble customer handover documents covering the executive summary, scope, GPU capacity against plan, metadata, roles and contacts, solution and network overview, and bill of materials.
  • Clearly document planned GPUs, GPUs available at handover, excluded GPUs and reasons, and open remediation tickets.
  • Map validation tests to evidence folders, including health checks, system and network stress, interconnect and multi-node performance, and fabric and firmware validation.
  • Record deviations, known issues, and residual risks as open items with owners and dates.
  • Lead formal operations acceptance and ensure support paths are live, including ticket routing, hardware returns and triage, log and diagnostic collection, spares, and escalation contacts.
  • Ensure operations understands contractual hardware-failure terms, including repair windows and credit triggers, before the support clock starts.
  • Brief customers and leadership on handoff readiness and risks to the handoff date.
  • Track open items after handoff through closure and confirm the post-handoff support period ends on time.
  • Incorporate lessons learned into the handover document, readiness checklist, and acceptance process.
  • Coordinate owners across engineering, SRE, networking, operations, and partner teams to meet firm dates.

Benefits

  • The role may be eligible for bonus, equity, and/or commission programs.
  • Competitive benefits package may include medical, dental, and vision coverage, flexible paid time off, parental leave, and retirement plan participation.
